Details
The Ombudsman said that he receives appeals from foreigners who are legally in Ukraine regarding the blocking of money transfer operations by banks.
As the Ombudsman of Ukraine, I previously sent a letter to the National Bank with recommendations on the need to amend the legislation, in particular, that the ban should not apply to payment for medical services. Although the recommendations have not been taken into account to date, we continue to work to ensure that human rights are respected! Therefore, together with the Head of the National Bank, we discussed changes to the legislation, as well as our further cooperation
As a reminder, last year the National Bank of Ukraine announced that it was returning the ban on P2P transfers from hryvnia payment cards of Ukrainian banks to cards of foreign banks.
