The man has lost almost half his weight. Currently, at least 36 illegally convicted Crimean political prisoners out of 216 are in need of immediate medical care. Relatives of Ukrainian political prisoner Tofik Adbulgaziyev are not provided with information on the state of health of the latter: the Russian Federation continues to blatantly violate international humanitarian law. He noted that on March 22, Abdulgaziyev was hospitalized in a specialized tuberculosis hospital in critical condition, but the prison's chief medical officer assured his wife that her husband's condition was satisfactory.

Prior to his arrest and imprisonment, Abdulgaziyev participated in organizing events for the children of Crimean political prisoners. He was an activist of the Crimean Solidarity, a sound engineer, and a member of the Crimean Childhood project.
In May 2022, the Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don convicted Tofik Abdulgaziyev on charges of involvement in the banned Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir in Russia. He was sentenced to 12 years in a maximum security colony with the first 5 years in prison.
On March 22, Abdulgaziyev was taken from a Russian prison to a tuberculosis hospital in Chelyabinsk.
