In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, where people face unemployment and delayed wages, the occupation administration continues to actively urge the population to join the armed forces of the Russian Federation. Potential candidates are told about a "warm and dry place," work in comfortable conditions, and no direct involvement in combat. However, the reality of the Russian army is radically different from recruiters' promises
It is stated that after signing a contract, service members may be sent directly to combat areas. At the same time, promises of serving far from the front lines are replaced by participation in combat missions, while people lured by a stable salary and a "safe" specialty risk finding themselves on the front line.
Thus, Russia is using the difficult economic situation of residents of the TOT to replenish its own army. People who have no work or have not received their earned wages for months are effectively offered the chance to exchange their lives and safety for a promised salary
They add that the occupation creates problems and then itself offers people a "way out" of them - to go and fight for the state that created these problems.
