The occupants carried out 7 attacks in the Kupyansk direction, trying to capture the areas of Dvorichna, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka and Lozova. Andriy Rubtsov, an officer of the communications department of the 116th separate mechanized brigade, told this during a telethon, UNN reports.
The enemy attacked with both infantry groups and armored vehicles.
Recently, the Ukrainian military destroyed an enemy column that was moving towards Kupyansk. The column, which consisted of a tank, three armored personnel carriers and an infantry fighting vehicle, was stopped thanks to the coordinated work of the units, and the equipment was either completely destroyed or seriously damaged.
Rubtsov also said that the Russians are using KABs both on the contact line and to strike at the civilian infrastructure of Kupyansk.
In addition, the Russians do not give up their desire to cross the Oskil River, but their attempts are unsuccessful.
"We have a lot of footage of ordinary inflatable boats being hit, with small infantry groups trying to cross this river. This is one of the most common ways," Rubtsov said.
