257 battles occurred at the front over the past day, which is slightly more than the day before; a third occurred in three directions - Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Huliaipole, the General Staff reported in its morning update on May 15, showing a map of military operations, UNN reports.

Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike using 55 missiles and 95 air strikes, dropping 323 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it deployed 8,517 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,884 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, including 82 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, particularly in the areas of settlements in the Sumy region – Fotovyzh, Pustohorod, Budky, Vorozhba.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit two areas of concentration of enemy manpower and another important object of the Russian invaders.
Situation by direction
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the aggressor launched three air strikes using seven KABs over the past day, carried out 97 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements, including 12 using MLRS. Seven enemy assault actions were recorded.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 14 times in the areas of the settlements of Vovchanski Khutory, Lyman, Starytsia, and towards Ternova, Radkivka, and Izbytske.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked four times in the areas of the settlements of Kurylivka, Novoplatonivka, and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy tried to wedge into our defense eight times, attacking in the areas of the settlements of Drobysheve, Ozerne, Yampil, Dibrova, and Stavky.
In the Sloviansk direction, the invaders twice tried to advance in the direction of the settlement of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders stopped one enemy attack in the area of the settlement of Pryvillia.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 28 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, and Novopavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 39 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Nove Shakhove, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne, Molodetske, and towards Bilytske, Vasylivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked three times in the directions of the settlements of Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, and Novohryhorivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers carried out 25 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Nove Zaporizhzhia, Zlahoda, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Hirke, and Huliaipilske.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped three attempts by the enemy to advance in the areas of the settlements of Shcherbaky and Plavni.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy conducted three attacks towards Antonivka, but had no success.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
