The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft resolution on the appointment of MP Yaroslav Yurchyshyn from the Voice faction as head of the Committee on Freedom of Speech, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Wednesday, UNN reports.

The resolution proposes to recall Yurchyshyn from the post of first deputy head of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy and appoint him head of the Committee on Freedom of Speech.

The Committee on Freedom of Speech was headed by MP from the now banned Opposition Platform - For Life party Nestor Shufrych, who was sent to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of treason.
It should be reminded
that the Committee on Freedom of Speech has been temporarily headed since September by MP from the Servant of the People party Yevhen Bragar who suggested that pensioners "sell an elite breed dog" to pay for utilities.
