The Russian Foreign Ministry announced an invitation to the summit in Miami on December 14-15. A final decision on participation will be made closer to the event date.

The Russian Foreign Ministry claims that Russia has been invited to participate in the G20 summit in the United States at the highest level, as reported by Russian media, writes UNN.

According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin, it is still unclear who will ultimately represent Russia at the meeting.

"There is an invitation to attend at the highest level, but we will see closer to the date, God knows what will happen before then," Pankin said.

Earlier, Russia's G20 Sherpa Svetlana Lukash stated that the American presidency was preparing for the possible arrival of Kremlin head Vladimir Putin at the event.
