In 2023, Odesa region continued its tests of financial management in the face of force majeure. The region has successfully coped with the challenges and remains financially stable. This is reported by the Odesa Regional State Administration, UNN reports.
They noted that in 2023, the budgets received more than UAH 25 billion, and the plan was fulfilled by 100%.
"The region has successfully fulfilled its budgetary obligations, providing support to our Armed Forces while monitoring the efficient use of public funds. Financial discipline and transparency have been and remain our priority," the statement said.
The SAI also spoke about the results of the work of the Transparency and Accountability Group, which revealed questionable use of budget funds worth UAH 170 million, which were returned to the budget for more efficient use.
The military administration added that this year all districts of the region have provided funding for protected expenditures, including salaries, energy, and social benefits.
"Over the past six months, UAH 2.3 billion has been allocated from the local budgets of Odesa Oblast for territorial and military defense activities and works, including UAH 1.9 billion from communities and district budgets.
Each family affected by Russian aggression received one-time financial assistance.
A significant part of the expenditures was spent on equipping hospitals with the latest equipment, including UAH 200 million allocated for the repair of a military hospital," the statement said.
Odesa Regional Road Administration continues to restore roads where it is critically needed.
It is also important to provide people from remote areas with comfortable conditions for movement, in particular to schools and hospitals, the OBA believes.
"We are grateful to all citizens for their support, assistance to the Armed Forces and faith in our efforts.
Together, we will continue to work to improve the financial stability and well-being of our region," the OBA summarized.
