Moldova's Reintegration Bureau called on Tiraspol not to reduce the water discharge from the Dubăsari reservoir, as this could disrupt the operation of the water intake in Coșnița and leave Chișinău without water supply. This is reported by NewsMaker, writes UNN.

The bureau stated that the management of the Dniester's water resources is regulated exclusively by interstate agreements between Moldova and Ukraine. It emphasized that attempts by Tiraspol representatives to participate in these mechanisms have no legal basis.
As noted by the Reintegration Bureau, Kyiv and Chișinău agreed to reduce the water discharge from the Novodnistrovsk reservoir from 100 to 85 cubic meters per second. This decision was explained by the need to preserve water reserves in conditions of extreme drought in the Dniester basin, not to harm any of the parties.
Tiraspol accused Kyiv and Chișinău of creating a water crisis
In Tiraspol, they stated that the decision to reduce the water discharge is a manifestation of new political confrontation and accused Chișinău and Kyiv of allegedly provoking a humanitarian crisis on the left bank of the Dniester.
In response, the Reintegration Bureau stated that Chișinău officially informed Tiraspol about the situation immediately after the emergency meeting of the Moldovan-Ukrainian commission, which took place on July 31, and called for not reducing the water discharge volumes from the Dubăsari reservoir.
According to the bureau, Tiraspol did not respond to the official appeal from the Moldovan side. The accusations of allegedly creating a "humanitarian, ecological, and economic crisis" in the region were called by the Reintegration Bureau as distorting the real context and aimed at promoting manipulative narratives.
