The optimal characteristics of the new footwear have been determined, while manufacturers and suppliers are invited to provide Ukrainian servicemen with footwear in an updated technical specification.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has completed the process of military (experimental) testing of sports sneakers designed for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Currently, the main characteristics of the sneakers have been established:
- Purpose:
for daily running and athletic exercises on sports grounds and in halls with hard surfaces;
- Construction:
combined upper made of textile materials for ventilation and artificial leather in areas of increased friction for improved wear resistance.
- Outsole:
made of polymeric materials with improved cushioning effect, has protectors for increased grip and reduced slippage.
- Inner part:
tricot lining for comfort and hygiene.
The parameters of foot fixation have also been determined - this is an anatomical shape of the back for a stable position of the foot, as well as a soft insert in the heel and tongue for additional comfort.
Regarding the insole, it is a polymeric material with cushioning properties - to reduce the load on the foot.
In addition, the following parameters are defined: lacing (promising reliable fixation for individual fit selection);
- Sizes:
from 35 to 48.
- Weight
42 size: no more than 310 g.
It is also indicated that the draft technical specification - TS А01XJ.66777-228:2025 (02) - is to replace the previous TS.

The Ministry of Defense has introduced a multi-level system for quality control of rations for the Armed Forces. Each component undergoes laboratory tests, and substandard batches are returned to suppliers.
