The police received a report from the victim's neighbor, who heard a noise near the house and saw a man covered in blood.
The police found that a quarrel arose between the owner of a house in Sofiyivska Borshchahivka and his tenant, a 44-year-old man. As a result of this quarrel, the latter stabbed the pensioner, who was renting the premises, more than 16 times on the head and neck. The defendant then separated the victim's head from his body and cut off his tongue using a kitchen knife.
Investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion over the premeditated murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code).
