Iryna Farion's funeral service is taking place at the Garrison Church in Lviv. Relatives, colleagues, fellow party members and supporters from different cities of Ukraine came to say goodbye to the linguist. This was reported by UNN with reference to Suspilne.

The funeral ceremony for the linguist began at 14:00. Farion will be buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery on the central alley, field 22, near the grave of Volodymyr Ivasyuk.

On July 19, an unidentified person shot at Iryna Farion, a linguist and professor at Lviv Polytechnic. The woman was taken to the hospital with a head wound in an extremely serious condition. In the hospital, Iryna Farion died.
