Relatives, colleagues, Lviv residents and supporters of the public figure from different cities of Ukraine came to say goodbye to the professor.
According to her daughter Sofia, the farewell to the linguist will last until 22:00 in the church.

The funeral will begin on Monday, July 22, at 14:00 in the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. Iryna Farion will be buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in the central alley, field 22, near the grave of Volodymyr Ivasyuk.

On July 19, an unidentified person shot at Iryna Farion, a linguist and professor at Lviv Polytechnic. The woman was taken to the hospital with a head wound in an extremely serious condition. In the hospital, Iryna Farion died.
Police have several versions of the murder of linguist Irina Farion, including public and political activities and personal animosity. Law enforcement officers found a shell casing after the shooting and do not rule out a "Russian trace" in the crime.
