Emergency and rescue operations in Okhmatdyt continue, the medical institution is under round-the-clock security. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko, reports UNN.
"As of 21:30, emergency and rescue operations at Okhmatdyt are ongoing. The hospital is under round-the-clock police protection," Klymenko said.
In addition, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine spoke about the search and rescue operation that began in the first minutes after the Russian attack.
"11:10 a.m. rocket arrival. All law enforcement forces were sent to the locations. First of all, it concerned the Okhmatdyt children's hospital. Within half an hour, 600 employees of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and the National Guard Patrol Service arrived," Klymenko said.
In addition to the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, medical staff, volunteers, and concerned Kyiv residents began to dismantle the bricks and rubble of the buildings. In a short time, they managed to transport more than 100 seriously ill children to other hospitals in the city.
"Everyone had the same goal - to dismantle the rubble as quickly as possible in order to unblock people, including children, who could have been in this medical facility," emphasized Ihor Klymenko.
In the evening, the Interior Minister showed the consequences of the Russian terrorist strike to partners, diplomats, and representatives of other countries.
