In Dnipro, at the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital, between 50 and 100 operations are performed daily. This is one of the country's key medical centers, where the fight for life continues uninterruptedly amidst the full-scale war, UNN reports.
The "Nadiya" Youth Initiative Charitable Foundation, together with the head of the foundation's supervisory board, First Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health Valeriy Dubil, and co-founder of the foundation Vita Prysyazhnyuk, handed over an expert-level anesthesia-breathing apparatus and a Mindray patient monitor to the hospital. This equipment was transferred with the support of Anna Laktionova, the medical company "Empirika" by Valeriy Los, and the Harwind company. The foundation's partners — Anatoliy Shkriblyak, Anton Bakhur, Artem Chaplygin, and the "Epicenter" company — also join in supporting the medical institution.
This is a multifunctional modern apparatus that provides breathing control during operations, lung ventilation, and continuous monitoring of the patient's vital signs. In critical conditions, such systems give doctors the opportunity to stabilize severely ill patients and gain time to save lives
The "Nadiya" Foundation has been systematically supporting the Mechnikov Hospital, led by its General Director Serhiy Ryzhenko, since the first days of the full-scale invasion.
During this time, the medical institution received functional operating tables that allow complex surgical interventions, an Easy Pulse cardiopulmonary resuscitation apparatus that performs automatic cardiopulmonary resuscitation, artificial lung ventilation apparatuses that provide breathing for patients in critical conditions. The hospital also received surgical electrical systems necessary for performing high-precision operations, as well as significant volumes of medical supplies — from consumables to equipment for stabilizing and rehabilitating the wounded.
For us, supporting Mechnikov Hospital is one of the key priorities. The most severely wounded are saved here every day, and whether a life will be saved directly depends on the availability of modern equipment
Over the years of the great war, Mechnikov Hospital has become a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian medicine. More than 55,000 lives have been saved here, thousands of complex operations have been performed, tons of blood have been transfused, and resuscitation departments work non-stop.
We admit the most severely ill patients every day, and thanks to the support of partners like the "Nadiya" foundation, we have the opportunity to work more effectively. The equipment provided by the foundation — including ventilators and anesthesia-breathing stations — has already helped save hundreds of lives
The foundation's partners — Eltech Trust, Denys Paramonov Charitable Foundation, "Ukraine Aid Breitscheid named after Saint Lawrence" Foundation, and Professor Dr. Heinrich Benner — also play a significant role in supporting the hospital, systematically assisting with the provision of consumables and medical equipment.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the "Nadiya" Youth Initiative Charitable Foundation has been systematically strengthening the medical sector. Hundreds of units of critically important equipment have been transferred to the front line and hospitals, including over 330 Easy Pulse cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices, more than 40 artificial lung ventilation devices, Prismaflex hemodialysis systems, as well as modern X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI machines. In addition, the foundation provides medical institutions with operating systems, endoscopy equipment, functional beds, resuscitation equipment, and large volumes of consumables.
