Today, the Israeli Defense Forces, with the support of its intelligence services, conducted an air strike on smuggling routes between Syria and Lebanon used to supply weapons to the Hezbollah terrorist organization. These smuggling routes, which run from the Syrian border to Lebanon, have been identified as a key channel for the transfer of weapons intended for terrorist attacks against Israeli military and civilians.
In recent months, Israel has been actively striking at the logistics network through which weapons are delivered from Iran through Syria to Hezbollah. The strikes are aimed at reducing the capacity of Unit 4400, which is responsible for smuggling weapons.
