Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings over an incident with a journalist of Slidstvo.info who was attempted to be served with a summons for his investigation of an SBU official. This was stated by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports.

It is noted that this is an abuse of power and obstruction of the professional activities of journalists.
In connection with the incident that took place during the delivery of the summons to the journalist of Slidstvo.info, the Office of the Prosecutor General registered information in the URPI on the fact of possible abuse of office and obstruction of the professional activities of journalists by employees of the SBU and the TCC, under the preliminary legal classification of Part 1 of Article 364, Part 3 of Article 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
The agency added that the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was entrusted to the Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigation.

Based on the materials published by Slidstvo.info, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Army General Oleksandr Syrskyi, ordered an internal inspection of the Commander of the Land Forces regarding the situation with the summons to the journalist for his investigation of an SBU official.
