Throughout this time, juvenile police officers, operatives, canine units, community police officers, National Guard members, rescuers, foresters, and concerned citizens searched for the boy and did everything possible to bring him home. Quadcopters were also used, and dozens of hours of footage from the "Safe City" camera system were analyzed.
Today, June 5, at approximately 5:15 PM, a local resident discovered the teenager's body in a forest area near the village of Nova Lyubomyrka.
