The situation escalated at the service entrance, at the intersection of Brothers Zubalashvili and Chichinadze streets. Demonstrators threw various objects at the police – bottles, firecrackers, eggs, paint balls, colored smoke. The security forces returned all this to the crowd, accompanying it with obscene gestures.
The Georgian Interior Ministry claims that demonstrators threw "unidentified objects" at the police, as a result of which one police officer was injured.
For several minutes, the demonstrators were called to disperse through loudspeakers. The security forces have already used a water cannon. The situation periodically escalates. At least one injured demonstrator is reported.
Below on Rustaveli, the action takes place calmly. Near Freedom Square, special forces and water cannons were also put on alert.
