In the Lviv region, a 45-year-old man suspected of raping a child has been taken into custody without the possibility of bail. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, writes UNN.
Details
According to the investigation, the incident occurred at the end of June in one of the villages of the Stryi district. The suspect was acquainted with the girl's family and occasionally helped her mother with household chores. That day, the child was left alone in the yard when her mother went to the garden. It was then, according to the investigation, that the man, while intoxicated, raped her. To prevent the child from screaming and c
alling for help, he threatened to tell everything to her classmates. The girl's mother witnessed the crime and contacted law enforcement, after which the man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Under the procedural supervision of the Stryi District Prosecutor's Office, he was notified of suspicion of rape of a person under fourteen years of age (Part 4 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
