The Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv has sent an indictment to the court against a 67-year-old resident of the Podilskyi district on charges of intentional murder. This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, writes UNN.

The pre-trial investigation established that in November 2025, a 71-year-old man and his 67-year-old nephew had an argument after returning from a wake for their relative. The conflict ended with the intoxicated man inflicting 26 stab wounds on his uncle, cutting off his nose and upper lip. After that, he washed his hands and went to sleep. The victim died from his injuries.
The man cannot explain the reasons for such cruelty towards his relative, as he claims not to remember that evening.
The accused's actions are classified under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely as intentional murder.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
