According to Voloshyn, in the island zone of Kherson region, which is under Ukrainian fire control, the enemy is trying to resort to forcing and reconnaissance activities. Small groups of Russian infantry are trying to cross the Dnipro in order to seize this bridgehead. This will help the Russians to exert fire influence on the right bank, where Ukrainian positions and many of our settlements with civilians are located.
"Although there are fewer assault actions in the island zone, the enemy's fire activity is quite high there, because the river is not so wide there, and this is a short distance for weapons, so the enemy constantly shells and strikes with drones not only at the positions of the Armed Forces, but also at civilian buildings," the spokesman said.
