Today, almost all critical energy infrastructure in Kharkiv has been destroyed due to Russian attacks. The city currently has 1.3 million residents.  This was stated by Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov in an interview with Liga.net, reports UNN.

Almost all critical energy infrastructure has already been destroyed, and private infrastructure has also been destroyed

- Terekhov said.

According to him, the situation for the energy sector is very difficult. However, there is no panic in Kharkiv. The city currently has 1.3 million residents.

"So far, neither we nor the military see reasons to evacuate Kharkiv. This is a part of the Russian IPSO to intimidate and make the citizens nervous," Terekhov said.

He also noted that Russia has started hitting the city of with new longer-range shells. There have been two such strikes over the past week. They are also firing from S-300. Most often, it comes from the Belgorod region.

 "The Russians did not come closer to the city," the mayor reassured.

He also said that the city has been operating invincibility points around the clock. During the two days of the last blackout after the shelling, 28,000 Kharkiv residents came there. Schools provide free meals. Over the year, 10 million meals have been distributed
