1. Call the police.

To record the fact of the incident and draw up documents indicating the place, address, and circumstances.

2. Take photos and videos.

Document the damage to the car and the scene of the incident with reference to the building.

3. Identify witnesses.

Write down the full name and contact details of people who saw the icicle fall.

4. Check for surveillance cameras.

Find out if there are cameras or video recorders nearby, and if possible, obtain copies of the recordings.

5. Order an assessment of property damage.

6. Identify the building's balance holder.

If necessary, contact the local government with a request regarding the owner or balance holder of the building.

8. File a lawsuit.

If the issue could not be resolved out of court, you can file a lawsuit for compensation for material damage.

It is also noted that if the car was parked in a prohibited place or under warning signs about the danger of falling icicles, responsibility for the damage may be placed on the car owner.
