Former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov needs to determine his position, because there are currently many contradictions in his statements. This was stated in an interview with the "Grunt" publication by Bohdan Krotevych ("Tavr"), a former chief of staff of the 12th "Azov" Brigade and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
According to the veteran, he still has not heard the former defense minister's position on whether people should take to the streets to protest.
"I still have not heard Fedorov's position on whether people should continue protesting, and this greatly saddens me. I was also triggered by his words: 'Protesters should focus not on Fedorov's surname, but on the strategy for waging the war.' What is that supposed to mean? Are people supposed to develop a strategy for the war?" said "Tavr."
The serviceman also noted that the former minister's lack of any position was even more harmful than a negative but clear position.
"I have an aversion to people who have no position. It is the same with the adversary: Russians who fight have their own position; I have no respect for Russians who stay out of politics, because they have no position. They are for everything good and against everything bad," Bohdan Krotevych said.
He emphasized that recently Fedorov had made radically contradictory statements, which indicated that he had no position.
"On the one hand, Fedorov believes that he will find a job for himself; on the other, he is ready to return only as defense minister, and this is an ultimatum. But he says he does not issue ultimatums. At the press conference, Fedorov said that he had had a conflict with Syrskyi. After that, in an interview, he said that there had been no conflict. On the one hand, Fedorov said that he did not interfere in the competence of the commander-in-chief; on the other, that he supported specific units for specific tasks. I do not like the discrepancies in his testimony," Krotevych said.
The serviceman is convinced that Mykhailo Fedorov must decide what he stands for and what he is against.
"I do not support Fedorov's position, as he cannot decide: was there a conflict with Syrskyi or not; did he interfere in the competence of the commander-in-chief or not; does he want to be defense minister or not; should protesters stay or not?" he concluded.
