Border guards of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachment detained 15 men who were trying to illegally cross the border with Moldova on the outskirts of the village of Pidhirne, Odesa region. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, UNN reported.
The travelers were able to cancel their foreign "vouchers" thanks to advance information from the operatives. A group of men from different regions of Ukraine decided to use the services of a "tour operator" to illegally get to Moldova, having previously contacted him in a telegram channel. The price of such a "tour" ranged from 4 to 10 thousand US dollars. After receiving instructions and a route via messenger, the men arrived at the border town. A 22-year-old driver who was trying to drive fifteen passengers to the Ukrainian-Moldovan border was detained by border guards of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachment on the outskirts of Pidhirne village in Odesa region.
At present, the National Police has been notified of the detection of signs of a crime under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine".
Reports on administrative offenses under Part 2 of Art. 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine" were drawn up against the detainees. The cases were sent to court.
