In Germany, amid extreme heat, a new historical temperature record has been set - 41.5 degrees Celsius. This is reported by Deutsche Welle, citing the German Meteorological Service, informs UNN.

It is noted that this reading was recorded by the measuring station in the village of Drewitz in the state of Saxony-Anhalt in eastern Germany on Saturday, June 27, at about 4:30 p.m. local time.

The previous record lasted less than a day. A temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius was recorded on June 26 in the Burbach area west of Saarbrücken at 5 p.m. local time
