On July 13, the High Anti-Corruption Court announced a verdict against a people's deputy of the III-IX convocations and, according to the SAP, sentenced him to 15 years in prison. Andriy Derkach was accused of high treason and illegal enrichment, reports UNN.

"On July 13, 2026, a panel of judges of the HACC announced a verdict against a people's deputy of the III-IX convocations. He was found guilty of receiving in 2020 USD 567 thousand from an intelligence agency of the russian federation for subversive activities against Ukraine, in particular for discrediting Ukraine on the international stage, deteriorating diplomatic relations with the United States of America, and complicating Ukraine's integration into the European Union and NATO," the SAP reported.
By the court's verdict, as noted, he was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 111, and Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
He was "sentenced to 15 years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state authorities or local self-government for a term of three years, with confiscation of all property owned by him as private property," the SAP stated.
This concerns fugitive ex-MP Andriy Derkach, reported by Transparency International Ukraine.
The court verdict enters into force 30 days from the date of its pronouncement, if not appealed in appellate proceedings.

In September 2022, people's deputy Andriy Derkach was notified of suspicion of high treason and illegal enrichment. He was also put on the wanted list. In July 2023, the HACC granted permission for in absentia pre-trial investigation regarding former MP Andriy Derkach. In August of the same year, NABU and SAP reported completion of the investigation in Derkach's case.
