The production and engineering group GROUND FORCE has launched a direction for the overhaul repair of heavy piston engines for heavy-duty, special, and wheeled vehicles of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by Defense Express, writes UNN.
Details
The company accepts for repair engines from Hummer, Ford, Detroit Diesel, and Caterpillar, which are most often used in military equipment. The direction has been operating for over a year and a half; during this time, specialists have restored, tested, and handed over several dozen engines to the military, and the work performed has received positive feedback from state customers.
GROUND FORCE notes that the launch of the direction was a response to the shortage of heavy engine repair capacities that arose due to a significant increase in state orders. Due to the overload of specialized enterprises, military equipment often sits idle for weeks or months awaiting repair.
Full repair cycle and own logistics
The company provides a full cycle of work - from engine restoration to the supply of original spare parts, components, and assemblies through its own logistics network, which, according to its assessment, allows reducing the time for returning equipment to service.
GROUND FORCE emphasizes that the repair of heavy diesel engines requires specialized equipment, a constant stock of components, and qualified engine mechanics with experience working with foreign military equipment.
