Former Motor Sich CEO Boguslayev remanded in custody until January 5

The Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv arrested former Motor Sich CEO Boguslaev and his associate Dziuba until January 5, 2024, on charges including collaboration with Russia. A hearing in their case is scheduled for December 25, 2023.

Kyiv's Solomyansky District Court has extended the preventive measures for former Motor Sich CEO Vyacheslav Boguslayev and Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity Oleh Dziuba. They will be held in custody without the right to bail until January 5, 2024, UNN reports with reference to Suspilne.

The court also scheduled the case for consideration on the merits on December 25, 2023.

Boguslayev is suspected of collaboration, aiding and abetting the Russian Federation and obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces. On October 18, the SBU informed that, together with the Office of the Prosecutor General, it had completed the investigation and submitted an indictment against Boguslaev and Dziuba to the court.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators sent an indictment to the court against former Motor Sich president Vyacheslav Boguslaev under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 4 of Article 111-1 (collaboration);

Article 111-2 (aiding the aggressor state);

Part 1 of Article 114-1 (obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations);

Part 1 of Article 258-3 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization).

His subordinate, Oleh Dziuba, head of the company's foreign trade department, is charged under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Article 111-1, part 4, paragraph 4 (collaboration);

Article 111-2 (aiding the aggressor state);

Article 258-3, part 1 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization).

Both defendants face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office.
