A former judge from Berdyansk passed data on Azov fighters and AFU movements to the FSB. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of all property.

A former judge who passed data about "Azov" fighters to the Russian FSB has been convicted of high treason, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported on social media on Friday, UNN reports.

Details

"In the spring of 2022, when Berdyansk fell under occupation, a local judge contacted a representative of the special services of the Russian Federation on her own initiative and began working for the enemy. Executing tasks for the Russian FSB, she collected and transmitted information to the enemy regarding the movement of Ukrainian military personnel in the Donetsk region, specifically data on the fighters of the 'Azov' special operations detachment," Kravchenko reported.

Also, according to the Prosecutor General, she collected information about court employees and medical facility staff in Berdyansk who supported Ukraine.

"In parallel, she fostered loyalty to the occupation authorities among her colleagues and helped staff the illegally created pseudo-unit in Berdyansk – the 'Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia'," Kravchenko continued.

After some time, according to the Prosecutor General, the woman "traveled to the territory controlled by Ukraine, headed one of the district courts in the Poltava region, and continued to administer justice on behalf of Ukraine."

"In May 2023, under the procedural guidance of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, her illegal actions were exposed. The woman was detained and notified of suspicion, and the High Council of Justice made the decision to dismiss her from the position of judge," Kravchenko noted.

The court found the woman guilty of high treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced her to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property. Until the sentence takes legal effect, the convict will remain in custody without the right to bail

- the Prosecutor General indicated.

"She knew what she was doing. Betraying the oath to the Ukrainian people was a conscious choice. Now the time has come to be held accountable. And so it will be for everyone who, in robes or without, works for the enemy. We continue our work," Kravchenko emphasized.
