A military man was detained in Ternopil region for helping a citizen leave the territory of the TCC and avoid administrative responsibility for $5000. This was reported by the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region, UNN reports .

According to the investigation, the suspect extorted USD 5 thousand from a citizen who was brought in for verification of military records. In exchange for this money, he was supposed to influence his colleagues and help the man leave the territory of the TCC. He was also supposed to help ensure that the person liable for military service did not receive a military call-up and was not brought to administrative responsibility for late updating of documents.
After receiving the entire amount of the bribe, the suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The prosecutors have now filed a motion to the court to choose a measure of restraint.

The former head of the Rivne regional TCC was served with the fourth suspicion for obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces. He was detained and will be held without bail, facing up to 12 years in prison.
