The Administration of the Government of Georgia reported a meeting between Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Yerevan during the European Political Community summit, UNN reports with reference to "News Georgia".

According to the press release, the conversation took place at the initiative of the Ukrainian side. It is noted that relations between the two countries were discussed. The foreign ministers of both countries also took part in the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, and the head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry, Maka Bochorishvili.
In his commentary, Sybiha noted that he and Bochorishvili "exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and international issues," discussed European integration challenges, and paid special attention to expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.
"We agreed to continue communication in the future," Sybiha wrote on X.
Media outlets note that this is the first such direct contact since the start of the war. Official Tbilisi previously stated that it maintains friendship with Ukraine "unilaterally," accusing Kyiv of "unacceptable and contradictory signals" and attempts to drag Georgia into the war.
