Leaders of the European Union member states congratulated the head of the Tisza party, Péter Magyar, on his victory in the parliamentary elections in Hungary. This was reported by  UNN.

In particular, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the victory of democracy and "Hungary's commitment to Europe."

- Macron wrote on the social network X.

In turn, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz "sincerely congratulated" Magyar on his "election success."

The Hungarian people have made their decision. ... I look forward to working with you. Let's join forces for a strong, secure and, above all, united Europe

- Merz noted.

Lithuanian President Nausėda called the election results "a great victory for Hungary."

"Congratulations, Péter Magyar. There are many things we could and should do for democracy, justice and peace," Nausėda said.
