President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, UNN reports with reference to the Presidential Office.
"We are very grateful to your team, the country, your people for their significant support since the beginning of the full-scale war," the Head of State noted.
Zelenskyy thanked Estonia for its leadership in allocating 0.25% of the country's GDP to Ukraine's military needs, which is enshrined in the bilateral security agreement. He also emphasized the need for effective cooperation to implement all the provisions of the document.
Among the main issues discussed during the meeting were the country's urgent defense needs and the necessary assistance to man new brigades.
Pevkur announced a new military package for the needs of the Defense Forces before the start of winter. It will include, among other things, uniforms for Ukrainian soldiers.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to the possibilities of the Estonian side to finance the production of long-range drones in Ukraine, as well as the importance of Estonia and all the Baltic states' voice in support of Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO.
Zelenskyy and Pevkur also discussed the implementation of the Victory Plan, which Estonia unconditionally supports.
