KYIV. February 15. UNN.

In the Kyiv Court of Appeals, Serhiy Zaitsev, a witness in the Yevhen Shcherban murder case, stated that according to Petro Kyrychenko, an assistant to Pavlo Lazarenko, the murder of Yevhen Shcherban was carried out by high-class professionals, a correspondent reports.

When asked by prosecutor Oleh Pushkar what Petro Kyrychenko had said about the Shcherban murder, the witness noted: "He said that Kushnir's people dressed in police uniforms; they were high-class professionals. They did everything so beautifully, just like in a Hollywood action movie."

Witness Serhiy Zaitsev also testified regarding whether Lazarenko's assistant Petro Kyrychenko was involved in the murder of MP Yevhen Shcherban. "His role was to bring Lazarenko and Kyrychenko together with Matros (Oleksandr Milchenko - ed.) to provide criminal services."

"What did Kyrychenko say about the financing (of Ye. Shcherban's murder - ed.)?" the state prosecutor asked.

"He said that she (Y. Tymoshenko - ed.) gave a 'three-piece' for it. Meaning 3 million," the witness replied, clarifying that 3 million dollars was paid to Mr. Matros (Oleksandr Milchenko - ed.).

As reported, Pechersk Court investigating judge Viktor Kytsyuk began the interrogation of the second witness in the Yevhen Shcherban murder case, businessman Serhiy Zaitsev, at the Kyiv Court of Appeals.

As a reminder, during Thursday's interrogation, I. Maryinkov stated that Pavlo Lazarenko ordered the murder of Yevhen Shcherban in the interests of Yulia Tymoshenko. Citing the words of the late organizer of the crime, Yevhen Kushnir, the witness claimed that P. Lazarenko instructed Y. Tymoshenko to transfer two million dollars to the accounts of Dnipropetrovsk crime boss Oleksandr Milchenko for the murder.
