"There is a shortage of electricity in the power system during certain hours of maximum consumption. Due to the damage caused by Russian missile strikes, power plants cannot generate enough electricity to cover all consumer needs," Ukrengergo said.
Yesterday, Sunday, April 28, the daily maximum consumption was reported to be 6.2% lower than on the previous Sunday, April 21. Today, April 29, as of 10:30 a.m., consumption is reported to be 12% lower than at the same time on the previous business day, Friday, April 26.
As noted, the sunny weather is conducive to the active operation of renewable energy power plants. Yesterday their work was even limited.
"Consumption restrictions are in place throughout the day in Kharkiv region. In the morning, about 204 thousand household consumers were cut off. Consumption for industry in Kryvyi Rih is also restricted around the clock," the NPC said.
As reported, the bad weather left 1 settlement in Dnipropetrovs'k region without power supply. Repair works are underway.
For other reasons, 406 settlements were without power in the morning.
