"It's warmer outside, consumption is slightly decreasing. In general, the level of consumption remains high, which creates an additional burden on the power system. Therefore, it is very important to continue to consume electricity sparingly," the company said.
At thermal power plants, one unit has reportedly been restarted after repairs, and one unit has been put under repair. Another unit extended the period of restoration work. Also, one unit at a thermal power plant went into emergency repair.
Solar power plants produce almost no electricity due to cloudy weather.
At the same time, no consumption limits were introduced, no blackout schedules were introduced and are not expected, Ukrenergo reported.
It is noted that there is no electricity export today. Electricity is imported during daytime hours from Slovakia, Romania and Moldova.
As of the morning of December 12, 247 settlements in Dnipropetrovs'k, Donetsk, Kyiv and Kharkiv regions were reportedly without power due to the weather.
Due to the fighting and other reasons, 445 settlements remain without electricity. The shelling caused new damage to the power company networks in Donetsk, Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions.
In the morning, a high-voltage overhead line in the eastern region was disconnected by protection measures. There were no power outages, the cause of the outage is being investigated, the NPC reported.
