Serhii Horbachov clarified that he has not yet been dismissed from the position of education ombudsman. However, this will happen in the coming days due to the expiration of his term. He wrote about this on Facebook, reports UNN.
"My expected imminent dismissal from the position of education ombudsman is in no way related to any claims against me: it's just that the 5-year term of my tenure (2019-2024) expired on August 14," Horbachov wrote.
He recalled that the education ombudsman is appointed for a term of 5 years without the right to reappointment.
"I was informed from the Cabinet of Ministers that the dismissal has not yet taken place... But it will definitely happen in the coming days," Horbachov added.
Earlier, MP Oleksii Honcharenko stated that the Cabinet of Ministers at its extraordinary meeting dismissed Serhii Horbachov from the position of education ombudsman.
