According to the report, FSB officers detained Ivanov the night before and took him to the Investigative Committee. Investigators believe that the deputy defense minister entered into a "criminal conspiracy with third parties," the joint press service of the courts said. Along with Ivanov, several people were detained, whom investigators believe to be involved in the transfer of money through a "complex chain of intermediaries.
One of them, Sergei Borodin, was also charged in the case of bribery of Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov. Borodin was arrested for two months. Borodin was reportedly friends with Ivanov and, according to the investigation, participated in the activities of the criminal group.
