Russian troops are actively reinforcing their forces and means in the Kharkiv region, where hostilities are ongoing, but compared to the spring months, the number of attacks on the border has decreased in the summer, which may indicate a regrouping of the occupiers. This was stated on Thursday by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, during a telethon, UNN reports.

"We need to understand that Russia continues to keep a certain amount of its forces and means. A more active reinforcement is taking place in the Kharkiv region, where active hostilities are ongoing - in the direction of Liptsy and Vovchansk. There, the enemy cannot advance deeper into the territory of Ukraine, facing resistance from the Defense Forces. As for the number of attacks in general, within Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions, unfortunately, this number is still high - an average of 60-70 per day. In the spring, there was a slightly higher number of attacks. It could reach about a hundred attacks per day, which were carried out by Russia on the territory of Ukraine," said Demchenko.
He added that the occupiers use artillery and UAVs to inflict damage, but there are also cases of enemy aircraft use.
"Taking into account that the number of attacks has somewhat decreased compared to the spring months, I do not exclude that the enemy could have regrouped its assets, or we cannot exclude that it is using them in the areas where active hostilities are taking place," said Demchenko.
