Russian occupiers have claimed an alleged strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the transport workshop of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The Ukrainian military called these reports another fake. This was stated by the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, UNN reports.

According to the Russian side's version, several buses and "Gazelle" vehicles allegedly burned down on the territory of the ZNPP as a result of a Ukrainian strike.
The Defense Forces of the South emphasized that these accusations are groundless and do not correspond to reality.
The Ukrainian military stressed that the Defense Forces do not strike nuclear power facilities and do not create threats to nuclear safety.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine do not strike nuclear power facilities and do not create threats to nuclear safety. Ukraine, as a responsible state, strictly adheres to the norms of international humanitarian law and the principles of nuclear safety," the statement reads.
The Defense Forces of the South noted that such statements are part of the Kremlin's information campaign aimed at discrediting Ukraine.

The military reminded that it is the illegal occupation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP by Russian troops, the militarization of the plant's territory, and its use for military purposes that create constant risks to the nuclear and radiation safety of the region.
Ukrainians were also urged to trust only official and verified sources of information and to be critical of Russian propaganda reports.
