Karel Samec, a spokesman for the engineering company in Pilsen, explained that the equipment was delivered because of repeated Russian attacks.
He explained that these devices ensure stable operation of the reactor and allow it to be regulated, which will help ensure a stable supply of electricity in Ukraine.
Rivne is home to one of the four nuclear power plants in the country.
It is located near the border with Poland and Belarus. Recently, the company ÚJV Řež, which also deals with the ČEZ group, manufactured and delivered a special cable to reinforce the reactor containment vessel. It weighs thirteen tons and measures one hundred and seventy-three meters
Another company in the group, ÚJV Řež , manufactured and delivered a special cable weighing 13 tons and measuring one hundred and seventy-three meters. It is designed to reinforce the reactor containment building.
Under the terms of the contract, Škoda JS has shipped 76 units of storage devices to Rivne NPP. Most of the equipment has already been put into operation. Spare devices are intended for replacement as needed. The contract value is confidential in accordance with the client's wishes.
ŠKODA JS is currently the only manufacturer in the world that can supply this type of drive to Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The only other alternative manufacturer is russia, Novinky notes.
The company expects to expand cooperation, including with the South Ukrainian NPP. ŠKODA JS is also actively working in connection with the already announced expansion plan for Khmelnytsky NPP.
Recall
