Contact with the "new administration" of US President-elect Donald Trump has been established at all levels, and the issue of military support is being discussed, among other things. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi during a press conference on Friday, an UNN correspondent reports.
Details
"Contact with the new administration has been established at all levels, and the issue of military support is being discussed, among other things. Ukraine is open to discussions on any form of military support, as we believe it is in the interests of the United States. We will discuss it when we have proposals or requests from the American side. As far as I know, there are no official proposals yet," Tychy said in response to a question about whether the Trump administration has established contact with Ukraine to determine the forms of military support for Ukraine in the future.
Addendum
Earlier, Tykhyi stated that the date of the visit of the future special representative of US President-elect Donald Trump, Keith Kellogg, to Ukraine has been preliminarily determined. Kyiv wants to convey information from the Ukrainian side, which is important to take into account when developing the new Trump team's vision of the path to a just peace.
