As a result of a massive Russian attack in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, two people are known to have died and 15 more were injured; also, about 20 animals died due to an enemy strike on a veterinary clinic, the National Police reported on Friday, showing the consequences, writes UNN.
Kyiv region. One person died, eight were injured
As stated, in Bucha district, three apartment buildings, three cars, a car dealership, and an educational institution were damaged. A 51-year-old man is known to have died and one person was injured.
In Fastiv district, two private houses, an administrative building, and a fence were damaged. Two people sustained bodily injuries. In addition, a veterinary clinic was damaged, and about 20 animals died.
The State Emergency Service clarified that "in Chabany, Kyiv region, Russians attacked a veterinary clinic where defenseless animals were undergoing treatment and temporary care... Rescuers fought for every life: they carried out emergency evacuation of four-legged animals from the damaged building, provided oxygen to injured animals, and tried to stabilize the condition of wounded patients. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, not all could be saved...".
In Obukhiv district, according to the police, five citizens were injured, including a minor. Eight vehicles and an apartment building were damaged.
Zhytomyr region. One dead and seven injured
As noted, in Korosten district, a woman born in 1956 died. Seven more injured people are receiving necessary medical care.
Currently, the destruction of 18 private houses and outbuildings has been documented, and about a hundred more buildings have been damaged.
Police officers are documenting the consequences of Russia's war crime and providing assistance to local residents. Explosive ordnance disposal experts of the National Police Main Department are inspecting the affected areas to detect and neutralize unexploded ordnance and explosives.
