A deputy of the Uzhhorod City Council will be tried for concealing assets worth over UAH 13.8 million. His property and his wife's assets have also been seized: two apartments in the historical part of Uzhhorod, five land plots, corporate rights, luxury cars, and a collection of 9 paintings, UNN reports with reference to the Prosecutor General's Office.
The Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against the current deputy of the Uzhhorod City Council of the VIII convocation. He is accused of entering inaccurate data into the declaration and legalizing illegal income (Part 2 of Article 209 and Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the results of a full verification of the 2022 declaration conducted by the NACP, it was established that the deputy deliberately failed to declare a significant part of his property and financial obligations. In particular, a house in Uzhhorod with an area of about 360 sq. m, real estate in Kyiv, over 315 thousand US dollars in cash, more than 1.3 million UAH in accounts, about 800 thousand UAH in debts, and part of his income were not indicated.
According to the investigation, he transferred cash to a third party under the guise of a loan, trying to give it a legal origin. The total amount of undeclared assets is UAH 13.8 million, and another UAH 11.5 million is legalized funds.
The deputy was remanded in custody with an alternative bail of UAH 11.5 million, which was paid. His property and his wife's assets were also seized: two apartments in the historical part of Uzhhorod, five land plots, corporate rights, luxury cars, and a collection of 9 paintings. The total value of the seized assets is about UAH 69.4 million.
