Competition between domestic producers in tenders for the supply of food to the Armed Forces of Ukraine will improve the quality of food for the Ukrainian military. This opinion was expressed by Volodymyr Krykta, director of the meat processing plant ALAN LLC, in an exclusive commentary to UNN.
According to him, competition will also lead to lower purchase prices and a wider range of products to be supplied to military units.
"We believe that direct competition between manufacturers at tenders will have a positive impact on improving the quality of food in the Armed Forces, because under such conditions the products will be delivered directly by the manufacturer, which is an additional guarantee that a quality product will be received.
Competition between domestic food producers (and not between intermediaries), in our opinion, will certainly lead to lower purchase prices, expanded assortment and improved product quality," Volodymyr Krykta said in his response to UNN's request.

In view of this, Krykta said the company welcomes the initiative of the new team at the Ministry of Defense to maximize cooperation with domestic food producers and minimize the participation of intermediaries in tenders.
"Our company is positive about the initiative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the State Agency "State Logistics Operator" to minimize the presence of intermediaries in tenders for the purchase of food for the army and supports the creation of conditions for the admission of as many domestic producers as possible to tenders, as we are a regular participant in procurement through the Prozorro system.
The company is ready to discuss the implementation of this system in an open dialogue with the new team of the Ministry of Defense, to participate in such procurements and, if necessary, to resolve problematic issues through feedback from the manufacturer (supplier)-buyer," added Volodymyr Krykta.
