Users are reporting problems with a number of popular AI services, including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and ConnectWise. There are also reports online of difficulties accessing Claude, Codex, and Gemini. This is evidenced by data from the Downdetector service and user complaints, UNN reports.
The biggest outage was recorded in OpenAI services. ChatGPT developers reported that some of the company's products are experiencing availability issues. This includes the ChatGPT chatbot itself, as well as Codex – an artificial intelligence tool for programming.
According to Downdetector, a sharp surge in reports regarding OpenAI began on the evening of April 20, around 6:00 PM local time. The peak of complaints occurred approximately between 6:45 PM and 7:00 PM, when the number of reports approached 1,800 in a short period. Prior to this, the level of reports remained minimal throughout the day.
At the same time, users began to complain about the operation of Claude from Anthropic, Gemini from Google, and Copilot from Microsoft. Reports of difficulties with other AI services are also appearing on social networks.
Currently, there is no official confirmed information about the causes of possible outages in Claude, Gemini, and some other platforms.
