This news is the result of a decision made after a series of discussions in the Canadian Parliament.
Already in early January, the export of military equipment to Israel was temporarily suspended. However, yesterday the Canadian parliament voted 204 to 117 in favor of suspending arms exports. It is important to note that the vote was not binding.

According to the Human Rights Watch, over the past ten years, the value of Canadian arms exports to Israel amounted to 140 million Canadian dollars, or about 95 million euros. Canada has exported bombs and missiles to Israel, among other things.
