The spokesman for the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called Russia's new nuclear doctrine “a product of a depraved Russian government” and emphasized his firm support for Ukraine and protection against illegal invasion. This was reported by the Guardian, according to UNN.
“It would be fair to say that this is the latest example of the irresponsibility we have seen from the depraved Russian government. We remain unwavering in our support for Ukraine and our defense against illegal invasion, and we have always said that the UK's defense begins in Ukraine. We are clear that Vladimir Putin could end this war tomorrow. He could withdraw his troops, pull back his tanks and stop the onslaught and the unnecessary bloodshed in both Ukraine and Russia. It is well within his power. We would urge him to do so,” the spokesman said.
